Castrated male (easy-going companion / fibre for handspinners)

Desejo is a four-year-old white gelding alpaca with a darling, no-fuss personality, making him a lovely option for owners wanting a gentle paddock companion or a herd guardian alpaca.

He is halter trained and generally easy to handle, with a sensible temperament that suits small rural properties, hobby farms or anyone building a quiet companion group. Desejo also carries a lovely fleece that is well suited to handspinners and knitters, making him a great choice for fibre lovers wanting both a companion animal and usable fleece each year.

If you do not already own alpacas, Desejo will need to be sold with one or more compatible companions. Alpacas are herd animals and do best when kept in a minimum of two, with three being ideal for welfare, stability and harmonious paddock dynamics.

Alpacas can live up to 20–25 years and are a long-term commitment.
