Cadenza
Brown female
Cadenza is a five-year-old deep chocolate brown female with a big personality and an even bigger enthusiasm for food. She’s often one of the first to come running when she spots the wheelbarrow, making her a fun, engaging addition to a paddock and a great choice for owners who enjoy alpacas as companion animals on a farm or hobby property.
Cadenza has had one cria with us and has proven herself as a capable mother, producing a lovely female cria. She would suit someone wanting to build a female alpaca herd for companionship and enjoyment.
As with all alpacas, Cadenza must be kept with other alpacas—she will do best in a small, stable group with other female alpacas, where she can settle and maintain good herd dynamics.
Ideal home:
Hobby farm or rural property seeking friendly female companions
Owners wanting an engaging herd member (especially at feed time!)
Suitable for a female herd setup
Option for breeding (proven to have produced a cria)
Secure fencing and appropriate shelter
Will be kept with other female alpacas (minimum of two; three preferred for welfare and stability)
Owners willing to meet routine care requirements, including shearing, vaccination, vitamin D supplementation, supplementary hay as needed, health checks and ongoing management
Alpacas can live up to 20–25 years and are a long-term commitment.
